Educators

The free Save Our History Educational Manual and Lesson Plans contain unique classroom activities for elementary, middle, and high school levels that will help your students gain an appreciation of local heritage. These lessons and activites include oral history and research projects designed to develop the student's knowledge of local and national history. Both the manual and lesson plans were written in collaboration with the National Council for Social Studies and are easy to implement in any classroom.

With these resources, you will find the tools you need to incorporate local history resources into your American History and Social Studies lessons and to introduce students to the concept of preservation.
